Effect of deep and superficial endotracheal suctioning on hemodynamic parameters and pain in neurosurgical intensive care patients

Objective: This study aimed to determine the effects of deep and superficial endotracheal suctioning on hemodynamic parameters pain level in mechanically ventilated neurosurgical patients. Patients Methods: prospective, randomized, controlled experimental was conducted 37 patients who underwent using open system. The arterial blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, respiratory oxygen saturation levels status patient were compared before after at 1 min, 5 min 30 min. Results: There no statistically significant difference between methods (p> 0.05). However, there less change systolic diastolic pressure rates Conclusion: Superficial caused fewer changes suctioning. For this reason, nurses should first prefer method during practices neurosurgery
